Discover dynamic iPad Apps that align with K-5 Common Core Standards. These apps leverage personalized learning as well as assessment including apps for metacognition. This session includes modeling mathematics and how to use appropriate tool strategies, fluency writing in Math, and how to utilize Thinglink for organization of Math resources and for student e-portfolios.
Participants will hear the importance of choosing the learning goals first, then choosing the right App or tool for the task. The presenter shares her thoughts on the value of designing a learning experience where students focus on demonstrating a skill, followed by explaining or reflecting on something that they have learned. Helpful video examples are included in the presentation as well as a valuable resource list.
